![]() No he is exactly choosen because he is safer and better. Enigma summoner is so strong it can do ubers, and poison with top end gear is one of the most powerful builds in the entire game. Bonemancer is the choice for speedrunning because it is faster, not necessarily safer or "better." As a point to this, its is faster when speedrunning to be a singer barb, but that doesn't mean singer is hands down the best barb build.Įdit: To add to this, I'd actually say that bone is, overall, the weakest of the three choices listed, because of how the three perform at end game. The point about speedrunning is not exactly applicable to most people. It's honestly a pretty fantastic first choice because a summon necro can do pits/pindle with no trouble.īone is fine, bone prison is a fantastic safety skill, but it requires way more skill to play effectively than summoner. It is rather slow, but it is an extremely safe and easy build. Summoner can probably complete hell naked without much trouble. The Poisonmancer comes closest to being a Utility-Mancer while still being solo-viable. These suck in solo, but if you know you have a reliable team this is also fun. To the point where i have run pure utility-mancers in the past. You can provide a lot of utility for your teammates. In team compositions Bonemancer and Poisonmancer are the best. And you need to keep track of 7 or 8 skills, which really isnt super easy for beginners. Summonmancer could be the most beginner-friendly if not for the fact that you need the skills of an experienced Shepherd to make those skellies do what you want. Almost unplayable unless you closely follow a guide for your first one. Poisonmancer for a new player is just kinda painful in my opinion. Bonemancers are great and efficient, but require some skill from the player for sure. Necromancer isnt the most beginner friendly class in general. In terms of beginner-friendly gameplay.this is actually quite hard. Summonmancer can be super fun too, but tends to be somewhat frustrating due to crappy pathfinding and AI in general. So while the bonemancer is the most efficient you should totally try other builds. There is just something satisfying about this build. If we are talking purely fun the poisonmancer - at least for me personally - has the advantage. There are a few considerations besides efficiency i want to append. Speedrunners play the game heavily underlevelled and need their builds to work regardless of luck. This should easily show you the difference in damage potential, reliability on loot and survivability. A bonemancer speedrun takes almost half as long as any other necro build. Summonmancer and Poisonmancer are great builds and fun to play, but they dont really hold a candle to the bonemancer. And its gonna add another skill to keep track of.ĭunno. ![]() Lower resist is great but it is not guaranteed to actually break resistances. And you dont need to use a curse to do your damage. You can easily run any area, no prep work required. The least resisted kind of damage in the whole game. Gives you way better defense than any minion stack ever will and the best crowd control in the gameģ) Resistances. This means any bonemancer will have fully skilled and highly synergized defense skills at his disposal. This also means he can ignore +skills for his shield and go full resistances.Ģ) Bone Armor/Prison - Bone skills heavily synergize with each other. There is nothing comparable for the other necromancer classes. +8 to bone spear in a shoppable wand and 20% fcr. There are multiple reasons for this:ġ) White - This one runeword alone completely flips the game on its head. Poisonmancer can do great if you play CoOp and brings more to the table for the team.īut solo? Bonemancer rules supreme. Have mentioned before that this subreddit must be overrun by the summonmancer fanclub.īonemancer is by far the most budget-friendly and efficient necromancer build.
